Download the Crictime APK for Android

The Crictime app is not listed on Google Play. You download the APK from this page and install it yourself. It takes two or three minutes.

Most people do not need the APK.

Adding Crictime to the home screen is faster: half a minute, no file and no permission.

Stay on this page if that way failed on your phone, or if you want a file you can keep.

Get the Crictime APK

crictime.apk · 564 KB

1 Tap the download button

Tap the red button above.

Chrome says this kind of file may harm your device. It says so for every app that is not from Google Play. Tap Download anyway.

2 Open the file

Wait for the download to end, then tap Open on the notification.

Missed the notification? Open the Files or Downloads app on your phone and tap crictime.apk.

3 Give permission

On a first install Android pauses and warns that apps from this source are blocked. Every phone does this.

Tap Settings in that message. Switch on Allow from this source. Go back.

Tap Install.

If Play Protect shows another warning, tap More details and then Install anyway.

The message did not show, or the switch stays off?

Turn the permission on by hand. Choose your phone:

Samsung

Settings → Apps → three dots (top right) → Special access → Install unknown apps

Switch on the app that opened the file. That is usually Chrome or My Files.

Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco

Settings → Privacy protection → Special permissions → Install unknown apps

Switch on the app that opened the file. That is usually Chrome or File Manager.

Oppo / Realme / OnePlus

Settings → Privacy → Special app access → Install unknown apps

Switch on the app that opened the file. That is usually Chrome or Files.

Other Android phones

Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps

Switch on the app that opened the file. That is usually Chrome or Files.

Still looking? Type unknown into the search box in Settings. That finds it on every phone.

✓ Finished

The app is installed. Find its icon on your home screen and open it, or see this month's matches here first.

When it goes wrong

The permission is on, but the phone still refuses

The permission must belong to the app that opens the file. Chrome may have downloaded it, but if the Files app opened it, Files is the one to allow.

Return to step 3, choose your phone and switch on that app.

The phone says "App not installed"

An older copy of the app may be in the way. Uninstall it and try again. If there is no older copy, the phone is short of storage: remove an app you no longer use.

The downloaded file has disappeared

It is in the Downloads folder of your Files app, under the name crictime.apk.
